Ken Fanning and Hillas Smith - acrobats, clowns, circus legends and fringe heroes, are coming down to Cork to take your acro game to the next level! In this 1.5 hour workshop, they will teach a mixture of static and dynamic acrobatics, i.e. tumbling and partner acro.
Ken Fanning is a founding member of Tumble Circus and holds a criminal record in Ireland, Germany and Iceland.
Professor Hillas Smith, in addition to being a successful international touring circus acrobat, is also a part time lecturer in Socio-physio-psychology in various colleges.
Tumble Circus is a unique experience of non-traditional Irish circus, specialising in high skill circus – theatre - comedy. Their shows are an absurd jaunt into the soul of man, alive with the endless possibility of the human body, the joy of performing, and the humanity of success and failure. It is their mission to create new and exciting Big Top circus that entertains, amazes and is accessible to all.
Tumble Circus is based in Belfast, but is run from caravans, hotel rooms and a Ford Transit van. The company has toured extensively throughout Ireland, Europe and the world.
